VACANCY
MANAGER, Risk Management.
Position Description/Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director/CEO, Board Risk Management Committee (BRMC) and Management Strategic Committee on Risk Management. He/She will be responsible for the following;
- Responsible for administering and managing the PFA’s Risk Management program.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the identification, collection and analysis of risk related information
- Assist management in identifying and assessing strategic risk.
- Determine the appropriate risk profile of all investment portfolios.
- Develop and implement the PFA’s risk management program in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of the PFA while complying with the state and federal laws and accreditation standards related to safety and risk management.
- Set goals and objectives for the Unit
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of the Unit
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum of first degree or its equivalent in a numerate discipline such as Actuarial science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of at least 8 years in the Financial Services Sector and 4 years in top/senior management position. Experience in a PFA will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of statistics, data collection, analysis and data representation.
- Knowledge of the Pension Reform Act
- Sound knowledge of federal, state laws and regulations and accreditation standards.
- Should have excellent interpersonal communication, managerial and problem solving skills.
